Introduction: Healthcare provider burnout is highly prevalent and has negative consequences. However, many healthcare workers in LMICs, including Nepal, rarely recognize or ameliorate it. This problem is worse in rural settings.

Perturbative Framework for Engineering Arbitrary Floquet Hamiltonian.

Rep Prog Phys

January 2025

Center for Joint Quantum Studies and Department of Physics, School of Science, Tianjin University, Yaguan Road 135, Jinnan District, Tianjin, 300072, CHINA.

We develop a systematic perturbative framework to engineer an arbitrary target Hamiltonian in the Floquet phase space of a periodically driven oscillator based on Floquet-Magnus expansion. The high-order errors in the engineered Floquet Hamiltonian are mitigated by adding high-order driving potentials perturbatively. We introduce a transformation method that allows us to obtain an analytical expression of the leading-order correction drive for engineering a target Hamiltonian with discrete rotational and chiral symmetries in phase space.

Nanoparticles-Based Optical Chemosensors for Lead Acetate Sensing in Water: ZnO, ZnCeO, and ZnNdO.

J Fluoresc

January 2025

Materials Science Lab (1), Physics Department, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, Giza, Egypt.

This study reports the synthesis, characterization, and optical properties of ZnO, ZnCeO, and ZnNdO nanoparticles and their interactions with lead acetate solutions. X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed that the nanoparticles were synthesized in a single-phase hexagonal structure, with crystallite sizes of 12.48 nm, 50.

SN1-type alkylating reagents generate O6-methylguanine (meG) lesions that activate the mismatch repair (MMR) response. Since post-replicative MMR specifically targets the nascent strand, meG on the template strand is refractory to rectification by MMR and, therefore, can induce non-productive MMR reactions. The cycling of futile MMR attempts is proposed to cause DNA double-strand breaks in the subsequent S phase, leading to ATR-checkpoint-mediated G2 arrest and apoptosis.

Background And Objective: PARP inhibitor (PARPi) treatment is an effective option for patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). There are few data on the cardiovascular and thromboembolic safety of these agents in mCRPC, as cardiovascular and thromboembolic adverse events (AEs) are uncommon. Our aim was to analyze the incidence and risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs), thromboembolic events, and hypertension with PARPi therapy in mCRPC.
