Treves' field pouch hernia (TFPH) is an unusual type of congenital internal hernia. Although eight cases of TFPH have been reported in the English literature, they were seldom diagnosed preoperatively with high mortality rates. We describe a 12-year-old girl with TFPH diagnosed as an internal hernia on computed tomography and confirmed laparoscopically, and review the literature.

We present a study on nanoscale skyrmionic spin textures in [Formula: see text], a rare-earth complex noncollinear ferromagnet. We confirm, using X-ray microscopy, that [Formula: see text] can host lattices of metastable skyrmion bubbles at room temperature in the absence of a magnetic field, after applying a suitable field cooling protocol. The skyrmion bubbles are robust against temperature changes from room temperature to 330 K.

Recent research involving bats flying in long tunnels has confirmed that hippocampal place cells can be active at multiple locations, with considerable variability in place field size and peak rate. With self-organizing recurrent networks, variability implies inhomogeneity in the synaptic weights, impeding the establishment of a continuous manifold of fixed points. Are continuous attractor neural networks still valid models for understanding spatial memory in the hippocampus, given such variability? Here, we ask what are the noise limits, in terms of an experimentally inspired parametrization of the irregularity of a single map, beyond which the notion of continuous attractor is no longer relevant.

In this work, we propose a possible correlation between carbohydrate content in hazelnut pollen (wild type) and viability/germinability, also in a perspective of adaptation to climate variability. Samples from four different cultivation fields in Italy showed values of pollen viability characterized by high levels, ranging between 77.3 and 98.

Meditation is a family of ancient and contemporary contemplative mind-body practices that can modulate psychological processes, awareness, and mental states. Over the last 40 years, clinical science has manualised meditation practices and designed various meditation interventions (MIs), that have shown therapeutic efficacy for disorders including depression, pain, addiction, and anxiety. Over the past decade, neuroimaging has examined the neuroscientific basis of meditation practices, effects, states, and outcomes for clinical and non-clinical populations.

Introduction: Guselkumab is an interleukin 23p19 inhibitor, and the first in this group, to be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the management of moderate to severe psoriasis. Apart from its utility in psoriasis, there are a number of other dermatologic conditions where guselkumab has demonstrated value.
Objectives: The aim of this narrative review is to describe the utility of guselkumab in psoriasis as well as its implication in off-label dermatologic disorders.
