Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) is a common problem among women worldwide. Multiple treatment modalities exist, ranging from physiotherapy to surgery. Numerous reports demonstrate mixed results for efficacy and safety of several oral agents used to treat SUI. Although there are data suggesting reasonable efficacy for several medications, surgery still remains the mainstay of treatment for most women. This article reviews the available oral agents that have been studied and assesses the data supporting their use while highlighting the limitations of each.

Aim: The activation of the complement system is accompanied by the occurrence and development of preeclampsia, as well as kidney diseases. Here, the role of complement C3 [C3] in renal injury in preeclampsia was explored, and its potential application as an early diagnostic biomarker or drug target to ameliorate kidney injury induced by preeclampsia was preliminarily evaluated.
Method: A total of 48 subjects were included in the present study, and the complement C3 levels and renal function were analyzed.
Introduction SUI is a common pelvic floor dysfunction in middle-aged and elderly women, which has a serious negative impact on the patient's quality of Life (QoL), pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) and electrical stimulation (ES), as common non-surgical treatment modalities, have been widely used in the management of SUI. However, there is controversy about the effectiveness of the combined application of these two interventions. For this reason, this study evaluated the efficacy of PFMT combined with ES in the treatment of SUI by Meta-analysis.
