Analysis and implementation of a set of optically controlled optical flip-flops on the surface of a liquid-crystal spatial- light modulator (SLM) are presented. The elementary system consists of a pair of image elements on the SLM whose input and output are coupled to each other by purely optical means. The coupling is established simultaneously and independently for all pairs of elements on the SLM.

The space-time wave packet (STWP) is a type of pulsed optical field, exhibiting distinctive characteristics, including the capacity to propagate without diffraction or dispersion and to have arbitrary group velocities. However, the intensity of the STWP is constrained by the low damage threshold of some indispensable optical elements like the spatial light modulator (SLM). While optical parametric amplification (OPA) has been proposed for amplifying STWPs, spatio-temporal (ST) characteristics of amplified STWPs remain significantly unexplored.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of the ceramic bonding to cobalt-chromium (Co-Cr) alloys fabricated by casting, milling, and additive manufacturing, compared with zirconia and nickel-chromium. One hundred specimens (N = 100), prepared with the dimensions of 25 × 3 × 0.5 mm, were assigned to five groups (n = 20): presintered milled Co-Cr (Group M), additively manufactured Co-Cr (Group SLM), cast Co-Cr (Group C), presintered zirconia (Group Zi), and cast Ni-Cr (Group Ni).
