Normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) is characterized by the classic triad of symptoms including gait disturbance, urinary incontinence, and dementia. Gait impairment represents the cardinal symptom. NPH is associated with a radiological verifiable ventriculomegaly in the absence of elevated cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) pressure. Because many patients do not present with classical clinical and radiological findings, its diagnosis and management represents a challenge for the general practitioner, neurologist and neurosurgeon. Various supplemental preoperative tests, including lumbar CSF tap test or CSF outflow resistance determination, can improve the accuracy of predicting a response to surgical intervention. CSF shunt results in significant symptoms in the majority of appropriately evaluated patients. The following article discusses clinical aspects, diagnosis and current therapeutic options.

Purpose: To report the clinical features and operative findings of a series of patients with lacrimal sac mucoceles extending above the anatomic level of the medial canthal tendon (MCT).
Methods: A retrospective chart review of all patients presenting with lacrimal sac mucocele extending above the anatomic level of the MCT over a period of five years from 2019 and 2023. All patients underwent surgical management.
Objective: We aimed to evaluate the risks of death and cardiovascular death of different subtypes of masked hypertension, defined by either isolated daytime or nighttime blood pressure (BP) elevation, or both, compared with patients with normal both office and 24-h BP.
Methods: We selected 4999 patients with masked hypertension (normal office BP and elevated 24-h BP). They were divided in three different categories: isolated daytime masked hypertension (elevated daytime BP and normal nighttime BP, 800 patients), isolated nighttime masked hypertension (elevated nighttime BP and normal daytime BP, 1069 patients) and daytime and nighttime masked hypertension (elevation of both daytime and nighttime BP, 2989).

Background: The arterial stiffening is attributed to the intrinsic structural stiffening and/or load-dependent stiffening by increased blood pressure (BP). The respective lifetime alterations and major determinants of the two components with normal aging are not clear.
Methods: A total of 3053 healthy adults (1922 women) aged 18-79 years were enrolled.

Unlabelled: Tuberculosis (TB) can affect any organ, and at times more than one organ in any sequence, in which case it is referred to as disseminated tuberculosis (DTB). We report a patient who presented primarily for psychiatric symptoms of three months' duration, which later turned out to be a case of DTB involving the central nervous system as well as the spine and lungs.
Case Presentation: An elderly lady with subacute onset and worsening behavioural changes of three months' duration was referred for exclusion of organic brain disease.
