Anti-glomerular basement membrane (anti-GBM) disease is an extremely rare small vessel vasculitis, which typically presents as rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis with or without pulmonary hemorrhage. Atypical anti-GBM disease varies in its clinical and laboratory presentation with insidious onset of symptoms. We present the case of a 16-year-old male child who presented with a two-week history of fever, weight loss, cough, hemoptysis, shortness of breath, and a five-year history of intermittent emesis.

Background: The progression from cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) remains a significant clinical challenge, with identified risk factors but no established preventative strategies.
Objectives: To evaluate whether early hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) initiation reduces the risk of CLE progressing to SLE.
Methods: A longitudinal study of 286 consecutive patients with isolated CLE (full study cohort), treated with HCQ (n = 186) or topical corticosteroids/calcineurin inhibitors (TCS/CNI; n =100).

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the differences between neuropsychiatric systemic lupus erythematosus (NPSLE) patients with and without white matter hyperintensity (WMH) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and to identify factors independently associated with the development of WMH in NPSLE.
Method: A comparative analysis was conducted on 84 NPSLE patients hospitalized at Peking University People's Hospital from 2015 to 2022 at the initial diagnosis of NPSLE. Patients were categorized based on the presence of WMH on brain MRI scans.

Background: Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a chronic progressive liver disease caused by the immune system mistakenly attacking its own hepatocytes. The role of the gut microbiome in the pathogenesis and progression of AIH is of considerable significance. However, the dearth of suitable animal models has significantly constrained advancements in the pathogenesis and the development of therapeutic strategies for AIH.

Recurrent intracerebral haemorrhage (ICH) presents a complex clinical challenge that eludes traditional diagnostic and treatment approaches. We report a rare and unexplained case of a middle-aged patient with recurrent ICH, for which extensive multidisciplinary investigations have yet to provide a definitive diagnosis or an effective long-term treatment strategy. Intraoperative pathology, genetic testing, cerebral angiography, inflammatory markers (erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein), specific antibodies (ANCA, anti-nuclear antibodies), and immunoglobulin levels showed no specific positive findings.
