One of the many different skills that nursing students have to achieve is how to dispense care by applying nursing concepts. The authors propose and instrument for evaluating and monitoring various aspects of learning in nursing students and their ability to put them into practice by considering 31 indicators, taking into account the degree of difficulty (D) and discrimination (d) involved in each one. All but 2 of the indicators were found to be reliable for assessing learning in nursing students . An overall statistical analysis and an analysis of the scores obtained enabled the tutors to establish an evaluation score for the nursing plans elaborated by the students.
