Purpose: To evaluate the stress distribution of mandibular second premolar restored with different shapes and diameters fiber post-core.
Methods: A load of 200N was distributed to the finite element model of mandibular second premolar restored with three different shapes (column post, cone post and trapezium post) and three different diameters(1/2,1/3 and 1/4 of root diameter) fiber post-core in vertical and lateral ( 45 degrees ) direction, and software of "Nastran" was applied to analyze the three-dimensional finite element distribution of stress respectively.
Results: Irrespective of the shapes, there was no significant change of stress distribution with the increase of post diameter. Under lateral load, the cone post and trapezium post created the least increased range of maximum stress than that under the vertical load.
Conclusion: Cone and trapezium fiber posts are the more ideal designs to restore the residual crowns and roots.

Tooth shade selection is a fundamental factor in the success of dental restorations, and visual impairment may adversely affect this process. The aim of this cross-sectional clinical study was to determine whether visual impairment influences shade selection using two methods: spectrophotometry and shade guides. : The sample consisted of 2796 maxillary and mandibular teeth, and shade selection was measured subjectively with a shade guide (VITA Classic, VITA Zahnfabrik) and objectively with a spectrophotometer (VITA Easyshade V, VITA Zahnfabrik, Bad Säckingen, Germany).

Mandibular gingival squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common oral cancer after tongue cancer. As these carcinomas often invade the mandible early, accurately defining the resection extent is important. This report highlights the use of preoperative virtual surgery data, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, surgical guidance, and extended reality (XR) support in achieving highly accurate marginal mandibulectomy without recurrence or metastasis.

The study involved a gross anatomical description of the parotid gland, mandibular gland, monostomatic sublingual gland, polystomatic sublingual gland, and zygomatic gland in 12 adult Eurasian wolves (Canis lupus lupus) (wild free-ranging individuals and their zoo counterparts), including their morphometry and microscopic evaluation using hematoxylin & eosin, mucicarmine, azan trichrome, PAS, AB pH 1.0, AB pH 2.5; AB pH 2.

Objective: Finite element analysis (FEA) of the biomechanical properties of the modified extraoral distractor device used in the mandibular distraction of craniofacial microsomia patients.
Materials And Methods: Finite element analysis (FEA) models of 5 patients under 2 working conditions, the instance when the distractor is activated and when the distractor participates in mastication, were included in the current study. To conduct the FEA, load boundary conditions (35.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to investigate the interchangeability of newly acquired, short-term used, and long-term used semi-adjustable articulators.
Materials And Methods: Metal analogs of partially dentate maxillary and mandibular arches were mounted on twelve semi-adjustable Stratos 300 articulators, divided into three groups based on usage over time: New, short-term used (<2 years), long-term used (>2 years) articulators. Each articulator was calibrated according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring consistency.
