Design of Interface ASIC with Power-Saving Switches for Capacitive Accelerometers.

Micromachines (Basel)

January 2025

College of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Wenzhou University, Wenzhou 325035, China.

High-precision, low-power MEMS accelerometers are extensively utilized across civilian applications. Closed-loop accelerometers employing switched-capacitor (SC) circuit topologies offer notable advantages, including low power consumption, high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and excellent linearity. Addressing the critical demand for high-precision, low-power MEMS accelerometers in modern geophones, this work focuses on the design and implementation of closed-loop interface ASICs (Application-Specific Integrated Circuits).

Multiomic machine learning on lactylation for molecular typing and prognosis of lung adenocarcinoma.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Department of Respiratory Diseases, Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, No. 107, Culture West Road, Jinan, Shandong, China.

To integrate machine learning and multiomic data on lactylation-related genes (LRGs) for molecular typing and prognosis prediction in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). LRG mRNA and long non-coding RNA transcriptomes, epigenetic methylation data, and somatic mutation data from The Cancer Genome Atlas LUAD cohort were analyzed to identify lactylation cancer subtypes (CSs) using 10 multiomics ensemble clustering techniques. The findings were then validated using the GSE31210 and GSE13213 LUAD cohorts.

Study on the reforming performance of liquid products from biomass staged gasification based on component analysis and simulation.

Bioresour Technol

January 2025

Hubei Key Laboratory of Hydroelectric Machinery Design & Maintenance, China Three Gorges University, Yichang 443002, PR China. Electronic address:

Biomass staged gasification technology (BSGT) divides the traditional gasification into medium-temperature devolatilization (MTD) stage, high-temperature gasification (HTG) stage and high-temperature reforming (HTR) stage. The present study conducted MTD and HTG experiments on corn stalks and focused on the effect of MTD at 200-550 °C on the reforming performance of BSGT liquid products through component analysis and simulation. The results demonstrate that the MTD temperature above 350 °C could prevent the participation of phenols and oxygen in HTG and HTR stages, respectively, thereby improving the reforming performance of BSGT liquid products and the quality of BSGT syngas.

Introduction: Various reports have confirmed that low skeletal muscle mass, a proxy marker of sarcopenia, can be a risk factor for surgical and oncological outcomes in colon cancer. We aimed to investigate the effects of skeletal muscle mass index (SMMI) on postoperative complications, overall survival (OS), and disease-free survival (DFS) in older patients with colon cancer who underwent elective curative colon resections.

Materials And Methods: Patients over 65 years old with stage I-III colon cancer who underwent elective curative colon resections between January 2015 and December 2023 were included in this single-center retrospective longitudinal study.

Multi-SpinX: An advanced framework for automated tracking of mitotic spindles and kinetochores in multicellular environments.

Comput Biol Med

January 2025

Center for Cell Dynamics, School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences, Queen Mary University of London, Mile End Road, London, E1 4NS, United Kingdom; The Alan Turing Institute, London, NW1 2DB, United Kingdom. Electronic address:

SpinX, an AI-guided spindle tracking software, allows the 3-dimensional (3D) tracking of metaphase spindle movements in mammalian cells. Using over 900 images of dividing cells, we create the Multi-SpinX framework to significantly expand SpinX's applications: a) to track spindles and cell cortex in multicellular environments, b) to combine two object tracking (spindle with kinetochores marked by centromeric probes) and c) to extend spindle tracking beyond metaphase to prometaphase and anaphase stages where spindle morphology is different. We have used a human-in-the-loop approach to assess our optimisation steps, to manually identify challenges and to build a robust computational pipeline for segmenting kinetochore pairs and spindles.
