Introduction: Bleeding during and following liver resection continues to be an object of surgeon's attention and a potential source of significant morbidity. Topical hemostatic agents are used during surgical intervention when conventional methods are not sufficient because of the site of surgery or degree of bleeding. A variety of agents with different effects is now available.
Aim: To verify the efficacy and safety of cellulose based local hemostat during liver resections.
Methods: In 67 cases of liver resection the surface was covered by Traumacel TAF net which was left in place.
Results And Conclusion: There were no postoperative bleeding in this group of patients. No other serious complication has been observed. Traumacel is a safe and effective local hemostat during liver resections.

Carcinosarcoma (CS), also known as metaplastic breast carcinoma with mesenchymal differentiation, is one of the five distinct subtypes of metaplastic breast cancer. It is considered as a mixed, biphasic neoplasm consisting of a carcinomatous component combined with a malignant nonepithelial element of mesenchymal origin without an intermediate transition zone. Although cellular origin of this neoplasm remains controversial, most researchers declare that neoplastic cells derive from a cellular structure with potential biphasic differentiation.

Background: A right adrenal gland may present in the form of adreno-hepatic fusion (AHF), in which the adrenal cells are interspersed among the hepatocytes without septation. This rare, naturally-occurring phenomenon may be associated with preoperative misdiagnosis. We present two cases of adrenal tumor in patients with AHF that were misdiagnosed, despite thorough preoperative work-ups.

Background: Locally advanced pancreatic adenocarcinomas (LA-PDAC) are more frequently operated now than in the past because of new regimen chemotherapy and improvement in surgical technique. Resection of the coeliac trunk (CT) during pancreatoduodenectomy (PD) or total pancreatectomy (TP) is not routinely done owing to the risk of liver and gastric ischaemia. In this video, a patient with LA-PDAC underwent TP with CT resection and retrograde gastric revascularization through the distal splenic artery.

Background: The oncologic significance of specific KRAS point mutations for patients with colorectal liver metastases (CLM) is uncertain. This study aimed to assess the prognostic impact of KRAS point mutations on patients who underwent surgery for CLM.
Methods: Patients who underwent curative-intent surgery for CLM from 2001 to 2020 were selected for the study.
