Objective: To profile the expression of transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-beta1) and its receptors (TGF-beta R1 and TGF-beta R2) in human fimbriae tubes to valuate the role of TGF-beta 1 signal system in adhesions and atresias formation of infertile women's fimbriae tubes.
Methods: The expressions of TGF-beta 1 and its receptors (TGF-beta R1 and TGF-beta R2) in fimbriae tubes were measured by immunohistochemical SP methods in 30 human fimbriae tube with adhesions and 15 cases without adhesions. The average integrated optical density (IOD) value of positive staining was tested by Image pro-plus 6.0 software. The results were analyzed with independ-samples T test and Pearson correlation.
Results: TGF-beta 1, TGF-beta R1 and TGF-beta R2 chiefly expressed in the epithelial cells, also expressed in the vascular endothelial cells and fibroblasts. Compared with human fimbriae tubes without adhesions or atresias, the expression of these three molecules all increased significantly in adhesion cases (P<0.05). In adhesion group, there was a positive correlation between TGF-beta 1 and TGF-beta R1, TGF-beta 1 and TGF-beta R2 (P<0.05), but no correlation between TGF-beta R1 and TGF-beta R2 (P<0.05), while there was no correlation among these three factors in control group.
Conclusion: TGF-beta 1 signal system may be an important ring-joint in adhesions formation of human fimbriae tube.

Introduction: Epidemiological studies have implicated ovulation as a risk factor for ovarian high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) at the initiation stage. Precancerous lesions of HGSC commonly exhibit TP53 mutations attributed to DNA deamination and are frequently localized in the fallopian tube epithelium (FTE), a site regularly exposed to ovulatory follicular fluid (FF). This study aimed to assess the mutagenic potential of FF and investigate the expression levels and functional role of activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AID) following ovulation, along with the resulting TP53 DNA deamination.

Objective: We report the first documented case of concurrent ectopic complete hydatidiform mole (CHM) and high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) of the fallopian tube, associated with unique histologic features and mutations in the HGSC.
Case Report: The patient presented with pelvic pain and vaginal bleeding. Laboratory examination revealed a positive urine pregnancy test and high serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (β-hCG).

There are currently no effective screening measures to detect early or occult tubo-ovarian cancers, resulting in late-stage detection and high mortality. This work explores whether an optical imaging catheter can detect early-stage tubo-ovarian cancers or precursor lesions where they originate in the fallopian tubes. This device collects co-registered optical coherence tomography (OCT) and autofluorescence imaging (AFI).

Introduction: Acquired ovarian torsion is an uncommon gynecologic emergency that afflicts women of reproductive age and requires correction by surgery. A rare complication of asymptomatic ovarian torsion can be necrosis and autoamputation of the adnexal structures.
Case Description: A 28-year-old nulliparous woman presented with irregular menses since puberty associated with dysmenorrhea, menorrhagia, and nausea, and that did not improve with trials of oral hormone therapy.
