Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of minor trauma during pregnancy on maternal and fetal outcomes in patients managed in a tertiary setting.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective single centre case-controlled study was performed between 2005 and 2017 in a university affiliated tertiary obstetric and trauma centre. All pregnant women of 13-36 weeks gestation that presented to the department of emergency medicine with an Injury Severity Score of <9 were identified.

Congenital chloride diarrhea (CCD) is a rare autosomal recessive disorder resulting from mutations in the SLC26A3 gene, leading to significant electrolyte imbalances and watery diarrhea starting in the prenatal period. Although prenatal diagnosis is ideal, many cases are identified postnatally. This case report details an 18-year-old primigravid lady in her third trimester who presented with severe polyhydramnios and fetal bowel dilation observed via ultrasound.

Background: Placental syndrome, mainly composed of preeclampsia and fetal growth restriction, has an impact on the health of mother and baby dyads. While impaired placentation is central to their pathophysiology, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain incompletely understood. This study investigates the association between placental syndrome and metabolic alterations in 1-deoxysphingolipids (1-deoxySLs) and polyamines, along with their regulatory enzymes.

Cancer in pregnancy has an incidence of approximately 1:1000, and cases of sarcoma in pregnancy are rare, with only a few described in the literature. This case report describes a 32-year-old pregnant woman who noticed an approximately 3.0 cm nodule on her left flank in the second trimester of pregnancy.
