Recent advancements in artificial intelligence-enabled medical gas sensing have led to enhanced accuracy, safety, and efficiency in healthcare. Medical gases, including oxygen, nitrous oxide, and carbon dioxide, are essential for various treatments but pose health risks if improperly managed. This review highlights the integration of artificial intelligence in medical gas sensing, enhancing traditional sensors through advanced data processing, pattern recognition, and real-time monitoring capabilities.

Objectives: Fear of pain during intrauterine device (IUD) insertion remains a barrier to its adoption. In the absence of consensus on an optimal pharmacological strategy, it is crucial to determine the factors influencing this pain to reassure and improve the patient experience.
Methods: It was a prospective study conducted in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur between August 2023 and 2024, interviewing adult patients and healthcare professionals during consultations for IUD insertion.

Ammonia oxidizing archaea (AOA) are among the most abundant microorganisms on earth and are known to be a major source of nitrous oxide (NO) emissions, although biochemical origins of this NO remain unknown. The biological nitrogen removal process in wastewater treatment inevitably produces nitrous oxide (NO), a potent greenhouse gas. Coarse bubble mixing is widely employed in wastewater treatment processes to mix anoxic tanks; however, its impacts on NO emissions are rarely reported. This study investigates the effects of coarse bubble mixing on NO emissions in a pilot-scale mainstream nitrite shunt reactor over a 50-day steady-state period.

The possibility of using an oxygen-nitrous oxide mixture for prolonged hypothermic preservation of rat heart for 24 h was investigated. A comparative analysis of restoration of functional activity of hearts in the groups of 24-h preservation at +4 °C with different gases (O, N) and gas mixtures (CO + O, NO + O, N+O, NO + N) was carried out. It was shown that the presence of oxygen in the gas mixture was the key factor for heart preservation.
