We report a case of a patient with rheumatoid arthritis undergoing revision surgery 30 years after primary metacarpophalangeal joint arthroplasty using a Swanson implant. Removal and replacement of the implant were successfully performed, and the patient was satisfied with the revision surgery.

A 42-year-old man suffered an avulsion amputation of his right middle finger. He had undergone several surgeries since the age of 24, including amputation plasty and implantation of the injured nerve into fat and bone, but had difficulty returning to work due to persistent severe pain. In contrast, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, a regenerative therapy, has shown potential to promote healing and regeneration of articular cartilage. This study investigates the effects of combining PRP with TA to treat osteoarthritis in racehorses.
