Objective: To locate motor functional area of patients who undergone modified anatomical hemispherectomy in order to analysis the plasticity of upper limbs motor.
Methods: The patients who undergone modified anatomical hemispherectomy were performed BOLD sequences, to locate functional cortical areas in their residual brain.
Results: 6 patients have performed examination of BOLD sequences by 3.0-T MRI.5 of them obtained contralateral upper limb motor areas in their residual brain, and 3 of them obtained ipsilateral and contralateral upper limb motor area map in cortex. The ipsilateral upper limb motor areas in the M1, SMA and posterior parietal cortex.
Conclusions: The patients who undergone modified anatomical hemispherectomy is an excellent model to investigate mechanism of plasticity in the developing brain. Functional magnetic resonance (fMRI) provided fine spatial detail of brain responses, would describe the motor functional area of cortical maps. These patients exist ipsilateral motor areas in their residual mono hemisphere. The study indicated there maybe have somewhat extent of correlation between the surgical procedure and the outcome of neuroplasticity.

Introduction: Gastric cancer (GC) burden is currently evolving with regional differences associated with complex behavioural, environmental, and genetic risk factors. The LEGACy study is a Horizon 2020-funded multi-institutional research project conducted prospectively to provide comprehensive data on the tumour biological characteristics of gastroesophageal cancer from European and LATAM countries.
Material And Methods: Treatment-naïve advanced gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma patients were prospectively recruited in seven European and LATAM countries.

Objectives: The objective of this web-based study is to analyze the attributes of bariatric surgery cases ensuing health implications. Additionally, the study seeks to delve into the factors influencing post-bariatric psychological evaluations and the impact of various bariatric surgeries on weight loss and psycho-social assessment scores for patients who had undergone bariatric surgeries within a specific bariatric surgery center in Egypt between January 2017 and January 2024.
Methods: An analytical cross-sectional study recruited 411 adults who had undergone different bariatric procedures by the same surgical team.

This study reviews the prevalence of copper (Cu) deficiency in patients for metabolic and bariatric surgery (MBS), as well as the long-term outcomes related to the prevalence of Cu deficiency after undergoing MBS. A systematic literature search and meta-analysis were conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus for articles published by August 31, 2024. The search terms included metabolic and bariatric surgery, weight loss surgery, metabolic surgery, obesity surgery, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding, gastric bypass, duodenal switch, duodenojejunal bypass, copper, copper deficiency, and hypocuposemia.

Transthyretin Cardiac amyloidosis (ATTR-CA) is an increasingly recognised cause of heart failure in our elderly patients with preserved ejection fraction. Patients with ATTR-CA who require permanent pacemaker implantation often have preserved ejection fraction and do not meet the clinical indication for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). In these patients, left bundle branch area pacing (LBBAP) can be a reasonable option to maximise physiological activation of the left ventricle.

Objective: This trial was aimed at investigating the effects of progressive functional training on hip mobility, lower-limb stability, quality of life, and hip complications in patients who have undergone jaw defect reconstruction using vascularized iliac flaps.
Methods: Patients who underwent reconstruction surgery with vascularized iliac flaps were randomly divided into control and training groups. The control group, according to routine nursing practice, only received activity and safety guidance after the operation.
