Background: Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a significant inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that typically arises from chronic inflammation of the intestinal tract. Report suggest that anti-inflammatory drug plays a crucial role in the protection of UC. The recent study demonstrated that columbianadin has a protective effect against UC induced by dextran sulfate sodium (DSS) in rats through the modulation of HO-1/Nrf2 and TLR4-NF-κB signaling pathways.

Background: High sodium intake has been linked to various health outcomes; however, its association with constipation remains unclear, particularly in adult males. This population-based study aimed to investigate the association between daily sodium intake and constipation using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005-2010.
Methods: Using data from the NHANES database spanning from 2005 to 2010, a cross-sectional study including 7116 adult male participants from the United States was performed to assess the relationship between daily sodium intake and constipation.

Diabetes prevalence continues to increase as a result of people's increasing sugar intake. Diabetes mellitus and its complications (dry skin, constipation, depression, and dental caries), as well as the prohibition of sweets ingestion, seriously affect patients' physical and mental health. This study aimed to examine the relationship between eating behavior, nutritional status and mental health. It is a cross-sectional study conducted on a sample of 360 healthy individuals aged 19-64 years. The General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) was used to evaluate mental health and the Three-Factor Eating Scale (TFEQ-R21) was used to assess eating behavior.
