Dynamic Reconstruction of Fluid Interface Manipulated by Fluid Balancing Agent for Scalable Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells.

Adv Mater

January 2025

Institute for Advanced Materials & Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Optical Information Materials and Technology, South China Academy of Advanced Optoelectronics, South China Normal University, Guangzhou, 510006, China.

Laboratory-scale spin-coating techniques are widely employed for fabricating small-size, high-efficiency perovskite solar cells. However, achieving large-area, high-uniformity perovskite films and thus high-efficiency solar cell devices remain challenging due to the complex fluid dynamics and drying behaviors of perovskite precursor solutions during large-area fabrication processes. In this work, a high-quality, pinhole-free, large-area FAPbI perovskite film is successfully obtained via scalable blade-coating technology, assisted by a novel bidirectional Marangoni convection strategy.

In this research, the photophysical properties of metformin hydrochloride (MF-HCl) were studied using spectroscopic and molecular docking techniques. The interaction between metformin hydrochloride and caffeine is essential for understanding the pharmacokinetics of metformin, particularly in populations with high caffeine consumption. Metformin is a first-line medication for managing type 2 diabetes, while caffeine is a widely consumed dietary stimulant.

Fuzzy logic applied to tunning mutation size in evolutionary algorithms.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, University of Łódź, Pomorska 149/153, Łódź, 90-236, Poland.

Tuning of parameters is a very important but complex issue in the Evolutionary Algorithms' design. The paper discusses the new, based on the Fuzzy Logic concept of tuning mutation size in these algorithms. Data on evolution collected in prior generations are used to tune the size of mutations.

Methane emissions from the Nord Stream subsea pipeline leaks.

Nature

January 2025

Key Laboratory of Coastal Environment and Resources of Zhejiang Province, School of Engineering, Westlake University, Hangzhou, China.

The amount of methane released to the atmosphere from the Nord Stream subsea pipeline leaks remains uncertain, as reflected in a wide range of estimates. A lack of information regarding the temporal variation in atmospheric emissions has made it challenging to reconcile pipeline volumetric (bottom-up) estimates with measurement-based (top-down) estimates. Here we simulate pipeline rupture emission rates and integrate these with methane dissolution and sea-surface outgassing estimates to model the evolution of atmospheric emissions from the leaks.

Behavior modeling for a new flexure-based mechanism by Hunger Game Search and physics-guided artificial neural network.

Sci Rep

January 2025

Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence, Institute for Computational Science and Artificial Intelligence, Van Lang University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Compliant mechanism has some advantages and has been widely applied in many accurate positioning systems. However, modeling the compliant mechanism behavior has suffered from many challenges, such as unstable results, and the limitation of training data set. In the field of compliant mechanism modeling, there has been no research interested in applying meta-heuristics optimization algorithms to optimize the weights and biases of the neural network globally.
