Anxiety is a commonly occurring psychiatric concern in adolescents with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). This pilot study examined the preliminary efficacy of a manual-based intervention targeting anxiety and social competence in four adolescents with high-functioning ASD. Anxiety and social functioning were assessed at baseline, midpoint, endpoint, and 6 months following treatment. Treatment consisted of cognitive-behavioral therapy, supplemented with parent education and group social skills training. The treatment program was effective in reducing anxiety in three of the four subjects and improving the social skills in all four subjects. Recommendations for the assessment and treatment of anxiety youth with ASD such as use of self-report measures to complement clinician and parent-reports and adaptations to traditional child-based CBT, are offered.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the safety and preliminary efficacy of serplulimab, a novel programmed death-1 inhibitor, with or without bevacizumab biosimilar HLX04 as first-line treatment in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
Methods: This open-label, multicenter phase 2 study (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT03973112) was conducted in China and consisted of four treatment groups: group A (serplulimab 3 mg/kg plus HLX04 5 mg/kg, subsequent-line), group B (serplulimab 3 mg/kg plus HLX04 10 mg/kg, subsequent-line), group C (serplulimab 3 mg/kg, subsequent-line) and group D (serplulimab 3 mg/kg plus HLX04 10 mg/kg, first-line).

Most of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients will experience tumor progression with immunotherapy (IO). Preliminary data suggested an association between high plasma HGF levels and poor response to IO in advanced NSCLC. Our study aimed to evaluate further the role of the HGF/MET pathway in resistance to IO in advanced NSCLC.

Background: Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is a non-invasive neuromodulation method. Short-term tDCS protocols have shown positive effects on cognitive outcomes in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) populations. Less is known about the long-term benefits of tDCS on cognition in AD.

Background: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the presence of phosphorylated tau neurofibrillary tangles and extracellular deposits of amyloid beta plaques (Aβ) in the brain. Microglia cells have been proposed to be involved in amyloid plaque formation since activated microglia produce inflammatory cytokines that contribute to a hostile neuronal environment, exacerbating AD pathogenesis.
Method: We aim to evaluate if the pharmacological inhibition of the myeloid/microglial receptor tyrosine kinase AXL, with bemcentinib (BGB) could be used as a novel therapeutic approach for AD.

Background: Disruption of sleep and circadian rhythms are associated with cognitive decline, preclinical Alzheimer's Disease (AD) pathology, and increased risk of dementia. Alleviating circadian rhythm and sleep disruption may improve cognition and reduce the progression of AD and related dementias (ADRD). Time-restricted eating (TRE), a circadian behavioral intervention that corrects disrupted eating rhythms by aligning food intake to the daytime, has demonstrated improvements in metabolic dysfunction and sleep quality.
