Image-guidance in maxillofacial surgery is based predominantly on computed tomographic (CT) images. Its main disadvantage is the considerable amount of radiation to which the patient is exposed, and dental metal artefacts. Recently, a new class of devices based on the concept of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) has been introduced for maxillofacial imaging, which we have investigated. In a clinical study, the first seven patients to be operated using a navigation system based on CBCT images, were evaluated. In all cases patient to image recording was uneventful and the surgical objective was reached. The guidance given by the navigation system was helpful. CBCT is an alternative to conventional CT, gives a lower dose of radiation, and costs less. Limitations in the quality of the images and the size of the field of view may restrict its use. It is suitable for image-guided surgery using a navigation system as long as the images show enough of the relevant anatomy and pathology.

Purpose: This qualitative study investigated the needs, barriers, and facilitators that affect primary care providers' involvement in supporting patients' stay-at-work and return-to-work following injury or illness. It also aims to understand the lived experiences of primary care providers who participated in the Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes training program for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ECHO OEM). By examining both the structural and experiential aspects of the program, this study seeks to provide insights into how ECHO OEM influences providers' approaches to occupational health challenges.

By addressing communication gaps, the integration of AI tools in healthcare has a greater ability to improve decision-making and to empower patients with more control over their health. Current systems for navigating healthcare - such as finding providers or understanding costs - are fragmented and cumbersome, often leaving patients frustrated and uninformed. An AI Healthcare Assistant App, leveraging advances in health IT interoperability, price transparency, and user-centred design, could simplify these processes.

There are significant social and structural barriers to integrated delivery of PrEP and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD), limiting women's ability to access these life-saving interventions. In a two parallel-arm randomized controlled trial, we are assessing an innovative eHealth delivery model that integrates PrEP with MOUD and is tailored to meet the specific needs of women involved in the criminal legal system.

Background: The evolving nature of irregular warfare and the increasingly frequent violations of human rights law and international humanitarian law pose unique challenges for humanitarian actors delivering trauma care in conflict settings.
Methods: A scoping review was conducted on PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science and a web search (on Google, Google scholar and Bing) to analyze and review past humanitarian interventions offering trauma care in conflict settings. Relevant records were identified from scientific and grey literature.
