A comprehensive study of the spectral and Mo-Si mirror inband EUV emission from tin-doped droplet laser plasma targets irradiated with a single 1064 nm beam from an Yb:doped fiber laser is reported. With pre-pulse enhancement, in-band conversion efficiency of approximately 2.1% is measured for laser irradiance intensities near 8 x 10(10) W/cm(2). This is the first study to be reported that uses a high-power, high repetition rate fiber laser with the high repetition rate droplet targets where EUV generation from plasmas is measured.

Purpose: To describe two cases of pediatric patients with Coats disease who developed nerve fiber layer (NFL) schisis.
Methods: Observational case series.
Results: Two male pediatric patients, ages 2 and 14, who were being treated for Coats disease were found to have NFL schisis on optical coherence tomography.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are extremely stable chemicals that are essential for modern life and decarbonization technologies. Yet PFAS are persistent pollutants that are harmful to human health. Hexafluoropropylene oxide dimer acid (GenX), a replacement for the PFAS chemical perfluorooctanoic acid, continues to pollute waterways.

This is the first study to report the use of 980-nm diode laser ablation for recurrent non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer in Japan.
Case Presentation: A 73-year-old man underwent transurethral laser ablation for the treatment of recurrent non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

In this paper, we demonstrated a novel bidirectional high-speed transmission system integrating a free-space optical (FSO) communication with a 5G wireless link, utilizing a high-power erbium-doped fibre amplifier (EDFA) for enhanced loss compensation. The system supports downlink rates of 1-Gb/s/4.5-GHz and 10-Gb/s at 24-GHz and 39-GHz, and an uplink rate of 10-Gb/s/28-GHz.

Space division multiplexing (SDM) with Hermite Gaussian (HG) modes, for instance, can significantly boost the transmission link capacity. However, SDM is not suitable in existing single mode fiber networks, and in long-distance wireless, microwave, THz or optical links, the far-field beam distribution may present a problem. Recently it has been demonstrated, that time domain HG modes can be employed to enhance the link capacity.
