Introduction: Most Breast Cancer (BC) patients undergoing Radiotherapy (RT) are potentially susceptible to skin toxicity and prone to clinical symptom complaints. This study aimed to investigate the effect of oral Atorvastatin (ATV) administration on skin toxicity in BC patients undergoing RT.
Methods: One hundred BC patients were randomly assigned to oral ATV (40 mg) or placebo tablets two days before beginning the RT until the eighth week of the RT regimen was completed.

Introduction: The successful diagnosis and treatment of early-stage breast cancer enhances the quality of life of patients. As a promising alternative to recently developed magnetic resonance imaging-guided radiotherapy, we proposed fluorescence molecular imaging-guided photodynamic therapy (FMI-guided PDT), which requires no expensive equipment. In the FMI simulations, ICG-C11 which has emission peaks at near-infrared wavelengths was used as the FMI agent.

The consistency regularization method is a widely used semi-supervised method that uses regularization terms constructed from unlabeled data to improve model performance. Poor-quality target predictions in regularization terms produce noisy gradient flows during training, resulting in a degradation in model performance. Recent semi-supervised methods usually filter out low-confidence target predictions to alleviate this problem, but also prevent the model from learning features from unlabeled data in low-confidence regions.

Background: Breast conserving surgery (BCS) with partial breast reconstruction (PBR) results in less morbidity, better cosmetic outcomes, and improved patient satisfaction compared to mastectomy. Perforator flap reconstruction can attenuate defects prone to breast deformity after BCS. Usually, postoperative drains and inpatient admission are part of this treatment.

Obesity is a modifiable risk factor for breast cancer. Yet, how obesity contributes to cancer initiation is not fully understood. The goal of this study was to determine if the body mass index (BMI) and metabolic hallmarks of obesity are related to DNA damage in normal breast tissue.
