Assessing Fear of Birth Scale's (FOBS) psychometric properties in the perinatal period using multicountry data is a step toward effectively screen clinically significant fear of childbirth (FOC) in maternal healthcare settings. FOBS psychometric properties were analyzed in women in the perinatal period using data from Australia, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, and Portugal. FOBS' reliability, criterion (known group and convergent), concurrent, predictive, and clinical validity were analyzed.

Background: Short peripheral catheter (SPC) placement is a routine invasive procedure in clinical settings that is crucial for administering fluids, medications, or blood components. Approximately 11% of adult patients arriving at the Emergency Department (ED) experience difficulties with intravenous access (DIVA), necessitating advanced techniques for successful placement. The Enhanced Adult DIVA (EA-DIVA) score serves as a validated tool to promptly identify patients with DIVA.

Septic shock is a significant challenge in the management of patients with burns and traumatic injuries when complicated by infection, necessitating prompt and effective haemodynamic support. This review provides a comprehensive overview of current strategies for vasopressor and fluid management in septic shock, with the aim to optimize patient outcomes. With regard to vasopressor management, we elaborate on the pharmacologic profiles and clinical applications of catecholamines, vasopressin derivatives, angiotensin II, and other vasoactive agents.
