Triangular and hexagonal Ag nanoplates deposited on a TiO(2) film in a mostly vertical orientation topple under visible light, resulting in a decrease of extinction at the excitation wavelength and increase at longer wavelengths.

A poly(vinyl alcohol)/montmorillonite/titania (PVA/MMT/TiO) nanocomposite film was fabricated via a simple solution casting strategy for the removal of cationic as well as anionic dyes. The developed nanocomposite film was subjected to X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform Infrared (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), mechanical property evaluation, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis. The embedding of MMT and TiO nanoparticles onto a PVA matrix has been confirmed from XRD, FTIR, and SEM analysis.

Hierarchical organization is prevalent in nature, yet the artificial construction of hierarchical materials featuring asymmetric structures remains a big challenge. Herein, we report a stress-induced self-assembly strategy for the synthesis of hierarchically twisted stripe arrays (HTSAs) with mesoporous structures. A soft and thin mesostructured film assembled by micelles and TiO oligomers is the prerequisite.

Surface fogging affects the light transmittance of various transparent materials and poses potential safety hazards. Superhydrophilic TiO surfaces can effectively prevent fogging by promoting continuous water film formation; however, they often struggle to maintain stable hydrophilicity and adhesion on plastic films. Self-cleaning and antifogging coatings on plastic substrates are crucial for applications requiring long-term clarity and minimal maintenance costs.

The optimization of nonradiative recombination losses through interface engineering is key to the development of efficient, stable, and hysteresis-free perovskite solar cells (PSCs). In this study, for the first time in solar cell technology, we present a novel approach to interface modification by employing one-dimensional lepidocrocite (henceforth referred to as 1DL) TiO-based nanofilaments, NFs, between the mesoporous TiO (mp TiO) and halide perovskite film in PSCs to improve both the efficiency and stability of the devices. The 1DLs can be easily produced on the kilogram scale starting with cheap and earth-abundant precursor powders, such as TiC, TiN, TiB, etc.

Titanium dioxide (TiO) is the most commonly used catalytic medium in the filter system of commercial photocatalytic air purifier (AP). The AP performance can be affected sensitively by the coating conditions of such medium on the filters and its physicochemical properties (e.g.
