In the present study, we investigated the B-cell translocation gene 1 (BTG1) as a candidate for multiple sclerosis (MS) susceptibility. BTG1 is a member of a family of genes involved in the apoptotic process. We genotyped two SNPs of the BTG1 gene (rs731652 and rs12694) in 550 MS patients and 548 controls. For SNP rs731652, significant associations with relapse-onset MS were found at the allele and genotype levels when compared with controls. We identified a risk haplotype associated with relapse-onset MS. These findings support the hypothesis that BTG1 polymorphisms may influence genetic predisposition for MS, especially in relapse-onset MS patients.

Sepsis is a leading cause of death worldwide, with most patient mortality stemming from lingering immunosuppression in sepsis survivors. This is due in part to immune dysfunction resulting from monocyte exhaustion, a phenotype of reduced antigen presentation, altered CD14/CD16 inflammatory subtypes, and disrupted cytokine production. Whereas previous research demonstrated improved sepsis survival in Ticam2 mice, the contribution of TICAM2 to long-term exhaustion memory remained unknown.

Aim: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disease affecting the central nervous system (CNS). While extensively studied, its molecular subtypes and mechanisms remain poorly understood, hindering the identification of effective therapeutic targets.
Methods: We used ConsensusClusterPlus to analyze transcriptome data from 215 MS patient samples, identifying distinct molecular subtypes.

To investigate the efficacy and safety of orelabrutinib combined with R-CHOP in the treatment of MCD subtype diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) . Twenty-three MCD subtype patients whose gene-subtype classification was based on baseline tumor tissue and/or baseline plasma using the LymphGen algorithm from June 2022 to June 2023 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanjing Medical University were retrospectively enrolled in the analysis. All patients were treated with R-CHOP or R-miniCHOP in Course 1, OR-CHOP or OR-miniCHOP (21 days for one course) in Courses 2-6, and R-monotherapy in Courses 7-8.

Aim: A keloid is a fibroproliferative cutaneous disorder secondary to skin injury, caused by an imbalance in fibroblast proliferation and apoptosis. However, the pathogenesis is not fully understood. In this study, candidate genes for keloid were identified and used to construct a diagnostic model.
