The use of AR technology in image-guided neurosurgery enables visualization of lesions that are concealed deep within the brain. Accurate AR registration is required to precisely match virtual lesions with anatomical structures displayed under a microscope. The purpose of this work was to develop a real-time augmented surgical navigation system using contactless line-structured light registration, microscope calibration, and visible optical tracking.

Background: Locally advanced periorbital cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) may require orbital exenteration, which is highly morbid. As immunotherapy develops, orbit preservation may become widespread, and data benchmarking survival with current standard-of-care surgery and radiotherapy are essential to the integration of this emerging method into modern treatment paradigms. This study aimed to determine the survival of patients after orbital exenteration for cSCC and investigate contributing factors.

Recently, the biologically inspired intelligent artificial visual neural system has aroused enormous interest. However, there are still significant obstacles in pursuing large-scale parallel and efficient visual memory and recognition. In this study, we demonstrate a 28 × 28 synaptic devices array for the artificial visual neuromorphic system, within the size of 0.

Au nanoclusters often demonstrate useful optical properties such as visible/near-infrared photoluminescence in addition to remarkable thermodynamic stability owing to their superatomic behavior. The smallest of the 8e- superatomic Au nanoclusters, Au11, has limited applications due to its lack of luminescence and relatively low stability. In this work, we investigate the introduction of a single Pt dopant to the center of a halide- and triphenylphosphine-ligated Au11 nanocluster, obtaining a cluster with a proposed molecular formula PtAu10(PPh3)7Br3.

Advances in the semiconductor industry have been limited owing to the constraints imposed by silicon-based CMOS technology; hence, innovative device design approaches are necessary. This study focuses on "more than Moore" approaches, specifically in neuromorphic computing. Although MoS devices have attracted attention as neuromorphic computing candidates, their performances have been limited due to environment-induced perturbations to carrier dynamics and the formation of defect states.
