A shortage of RNs is a problem that has reached crisis levels in the United States and many other countries. The inadequate supply of RNs translates into limited access for individuals who need health care. The U.S. psychiatric-mental health RN (PMH RN) workforce is virtually unstudied. The purposes of this article are to present a nationally representative demographic, education, and employment profile of PMH RNs, analyze issues associated with the supply of PMH RNs, and discuss options for building the PMH RN workforce.

Background: Objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs) are an important part of the graduate nursing curriculum at The Ohio State University, including in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) program. Despite positive feedback from the OSCE assignments, students often reported experiencing anxiety before the assignments. In 2023, the PMHNP faculty implemented a pre-OSCE practice assignment designed for students to review an initial psychiatric evaluation by interviewing a peer.

Study Purpose: This paper aims to explore the effectiveness of ChatGPT in facilitating learning for medical students with special educational needs (SEN) while acknowledging and addressing the challenges that SEN students may encounter in utilizing this technology.
Methods: This cross-sectional survey study assessed ChatGPT's efficacy in supporting medical students with SEN across three Saudi Arabian universities. Utilizing purposive and convenience sampling, a questionnaire was administered to 283 SEN students.
