As a promising solution for the next generation optical Internet, optical burst switching still has much to be improved, especially the design of core routers. This paper mainly focuses on channel scheduling algorithms of core routers and proposes a new practical scheduling algorithm. In the new algorithm, burst segmentation, one of the contention resolution schemes that are another major concern in core router design, is introduced. The proposed algorithm is analyzed theoretically and evaluated by computer simulations. The results show that the new algorithm, compared with existing traditional scheduling algorithms, can lower the packet loss probability and enhance the link utilization and network performance.

The essential of semi-supervised semantic segmentation (SSSS) is to learn more helpful information from unlabeled data, which can be achieved by assigning adequate quality pseudo-labels or managing noisy pseudo-labels during training. However, most relevant state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods are mainly devoted to improving one aspect. By revisiting the representative SSSS methods from a robust learning view, this paper discovers that the appropriate combination of multiple noise-robust methods contributes both to assigning sufficient quality pseudo labels and managing noisy labels.

Background: Myoclonus and other jerky movement disorders are hyperkinetic disorders, the diagnosis of which heavily relies on clinical neurophysiological testing. However, formal diagnostic criteria are lacking, and recently the utility and reliability of these tests have been questioned.

Objectives: To conduct a systematic review and single-arm meta-analysis to evaluate and compare radiological indicators, as well as short-term and long-term outcomes, in patients with neurologically intact thoracolumbar burst fractures (TLBF) who underwent anterior fusion, combined anterior-posterior procedure, or short-segment pedicle screw fixation (PSF).

Methods: A systematic review following PRISMA guidelines was conducted. Inclusion criteria comprised articles published between 2004 and 2023, full-text availability in English, burst fractures without spinal cord or nerve root injuries at admission, short-segment PSF without fusion, anterior or combined fusion methods, patients aged 18 or older, and a minimum 12-month follow-up.
