Introduction: Obesity is a worldwide epidemic, with up to 17% of French population affected. European guidelines recommend surgical management at specific weight and comorbidity level; however, less than 2% of eligible patients undergo surgical bariatric interventions. Peatlands are a key component of terrestrial ecosystems, and their development has an important impact on global carbon cycle and climate change. However, the long-term evolution of global peatlands remains uncertain, particularly their spatial distribution. We compiled 4700 basal peatland data during Holocene, and 669 pollen data of Sphagnum with basal and end ages, to allow a more robust reconstruction of the spatial distribution of peatlands.

In this paper, the state estimation problem is investigated for a general class of nonlinear networked systems subject to both external disturbances and stochastic deception attacks. In the presence of deception attacks, a novel hybrid stubborn extended state observer (ESO) is established to estimate the states and total disturbances, simultaneously. In addition, the event-triggered mechanism (ETM) is introduced utilizing the estimation errors to relieve the burden of the transmission networks.

Various nanodrug vehicles were well-designed with complicated functions for tumor therapy. However, the unsatisfactory tumor delivery efficiency and uncertain off-target release became the stumbling block of the nanodrugs on the way to the clinic. Inspired by efficient tumor targeting ability of albumin, we reported a simplified biomimetic peptide-based vehicle synthesized by copolymerizing L-glutamyl-L-lysine unit (EK dimer, an intrinsic surface peptide pair from albumin) with L-phenylalanine (F) to encapsulate doxorubicin (Dox).

In this study, we developed an Evidential Ensemble Neural Network based on Deep learning and Diffusion MRI, namely DDEvENet, for anatomical brain parcellation. The key innovation of DDEvENet is the design of an evidential deep learning framework to quantify predictive uncertainty at each voxel during a single inference. To do so, we design an evidence-based ensemble learning framework for uncertainty-aware parcellation to leverage the multiple dMRI parameters derived from diffusion MRI.
