Background: At present, conventional endoscopy and chromoendoscopy using indigo carmine (IC) is a very useful method to determine the demarcation line (DL) of early gastric cancer lesions, but it is not suitable for all lesions.

Aims: This study aimed to determine the applicable conditions for IC chromoendoscopy.

Methods: We retrospectively evaluated 187 lesions in 181 patients who had an endoscopic diagnosis of EGC and were treated with endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD).

Background And Aims: Early gastric cancers (EGCs) after Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication often appear as reddish depressed lesions (RDLs); the same features are also appeared in benign stomachs after eradication. We compared clinic-pathological and endoscopic features of benign and neoplastic RDLs after H.

Background And Aims: Accurately diagnosing biliary strictures is crucial for surgical decisions, and although peroral cholangioscopy (POCS) aids in visual diagnosis, diagnosing malignancies or determining lesion margins via this route remains challenging. Indigo carmine is commonly used to evaluate lesions during GI endoscopy. We aimed to establish the utility of virtual indigo carmine chromoendoscopy (VICI) converted from POCS images using artificial intelligence.

Introduction: Minor structural alterations (MSA) of the laryngeal mucosa are entities involving epithelial vocal cord covering modifications. Among differentiated structural alterations of the vocal cords are sulcus vocalis, epidermoid cysts, micro diaphragms, mucosal bridges, and vasculodysgenesis. While many of these MSA are evident and can be easily visible using conventional endoscopic methods, diagnosis can be difficult even with the help of stroboscopy.

Image-enhanced endoscopy (IEE) has advanced gastrointestinal disease diagnosis and treatment. Traditional white-light imaging has limitations in detecting all gastrointestinal diseases, prompting the development of IEE. In this review, we explore the utility of IEE, including texture and color enhancement imaging and red dichromatic imaging, in pancreatobiliary (PB) diseases.
