Endomyocardial fibrosis (EMF) is a rare progressive restrictive cardiomyopathy of unknown etiology that mainly presents with heart failure. The presence of a small ventricle with obliteration of the apex and a large atrium are two-dimensional echocardiographic findings that are highly suggestive of EMF. Cardiac magnetic resonance with delayed enhancement allows detection of subendocardial fibrosis with good histopathological correlation, providing a noninvasive modality for diagnosing EMF. We herein report a case of EMF in which the complementary role of two-dimensional color Doppler imaging and myocardial contrast echocardiography proved to be useful in the diagnosis of this clinical entity, which was later confirmed by cardiac magnetic resonance, surgery, and histopathology.

The effects of T4 are mainly manifested by positive ino- and chronotropism. The syndrome accompanying hypothyroidism in rabbits (impaired myocardial contractility and reduced ejection capacity) is caused by a deficiency of thyroid hormones - especially T4. The study group consisted of a total of 41 animals: 15 males and 26 females, ranging in age from 2 months to 8 years, with echocardiogram showing reduced fractional shortening (<30%), with normal results of heamatological and biochemical tests.

Fibroepithelial polyps are rare benign tumors originating from the mesoderm and are more commonly found in the renal pelvis and distal ureter and less frequently in the proximal ureter or bladder. This case report presents a fibroepithelial polyp occurring in the bladder of the fetus, showcasing its two-dimensional ultrasound, three-dimensional ultrasound, color Doppler, and spectral Doppler ultrasound findings, providing a reference for the accurate diagnosis of this condition.

Optical imaging access to nanometer-level protein distributions in intact tissue is a highly sought-after goal, as it would provide visualization in physiologically relevant contexts. Under the unfavorable signal-to-background conditions of increased absorption and scattering of the excitation and fluorescence light in the complex tissue sample, superresolution fluorescence microscopy methods are severely challenged in attaining precise localization of molecules. We reasoned that the typical use of a confocal detection pinhole in MINFLUX nanoscopy, suppressing background and providing optical sectioning, should facilitate the detection and resolution of single fluorophores even amid scattering and optically challenging tissue environments.

Two dimensional covalent organic framework (2D COF) films based on triphenylamine are considered to be promising electrochromic and energy-storage materials owing to their interlayer π-π electron delocalization, one-dimensional (1D) nanopores, and stable chemical structures. Triphenylamine-based 2D COF electrochromic films, nevertheless, rarely exhibit transparency and high optical contrast, which severely limited the scope of their application. In this work, two directly grown triphenylamine-based polyimide 2D COF films, TAPA-PMDA and TAPA-NTCDA PI COF, were prepared through solvothermal technology.
