Based on recent literature data, subintimal arterial angioplasty, its indications and contraindications, methods and techniques, treatment results, and perspectives are introduced in this article. During the last two decades, with increasing human lifespan, more and more frequently a combination of progressive chronic lower limb ischemia, which is caused by occlusive disease, and severe condition occurs. In such cases, patients cannot be operated on. In Europe and the United States of America, patients undergo subintimal angioplasty. It is a minimally invasive technique for the treatment of lower limb occlusive disease, when without tissue incision, under local anesthesia, blood flow through damaged artery is normalized. Thus, the occlusion is removed without surgery, patient's quality of life is improved, and survival is increased.

Background: Wound repair methods are commonly used in clinical practice, such as skin graft and flap repair, which can cause secondary injuries, and high costs. Many methods for skin stretching and repair have been reported domestically and internationally. However, their clinical use is limited owing to lack of equipment, complexity, and high costs.

Background: Failed back surgery syndrome is a common problem faced by chronic pain management specialists. Steroid-only epidural injections have modest efficacy because of excessive scarring. Epidural hyaluronidase (HA), functions as a depolymerizing agent, successfully breaking down adhesions and collagen bundles, whereas dexmedetomidine (DEX) helps to reduce inflammation.

Background: Epidural steroid injections are frequently used to treat chronic radicular pain of a discogenic origin; however, their efficacy remains limited. Magnesium sulfate and dexmedetomidine are emerging adjuvants with the potential to enhance the effectiveness and prolong the therapeutic duration of steroid injections.
Methods: In this randomized, double-blind study, 90 patients with unilateral lower limb radiculopathy due to lumbar disc prolapse who did not respond to conservative treatment for 12 weeks were assigned to three groups.

Purpose: Findings from previous Mendelian randomization (MR) studies disagreed with the current scientific consensus regarding the role of physical activity (PA) and sedentary behavior in ischemic stroke (IS). We reassessed these associations with a focus on etiological subtypes of IS and the potential mediating roles of cardiometabolic traits and brain imaging-derived phenotypes (IDPs).
Methods: We performed MR analyses using summary statistics from genome-wide association studies of sedentary behavior and PA (n = 88,411~608,595), cardiometabolic traits (n = 393,193~694,649), brain IDPs (n = 33,224) and the latest IS data (62,100 cases and 1,234,808 controls).

The objective was to study the risk factors of venous thrombosis after ankle fracture with type 2 diabetes mellitus surgery using a tourniquet and to assess the effect of ischemic preconditioning and metformin combination therapy in preventing thrombosis. One hundred eighty patients with ankle fractures combined with type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with lower extremity tourniquet surgery between January 2020 and December 2023 were analyzed. Based on postoperative color Doppler ultrasound of both lower extremities, the patients were divided into thrombus-positive and negative groups.
