The longest reported follow-up for thermal ablation of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) is 5 years. We evaluated the long-term efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) in patients with low-risk PTMC with clinical follow-up of more than 10 years. In this retrospective cohort study, we included patients with low-risk PTMC who had more than 10 years of follow-up after ultrasound (US)-guided RFA (performed between May 2008 and December 2013).

Given the increasing prevalence of thyroid dysfunction and its potential impact on cardiovascular outcomes, early diagnosis and intervention are crucial, particularly within specific regional populations.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of thyroid hormone imbalance on cardiovascular health outcomes in patients at Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, over a 24-month period.

Primary amyloidosis (AL type) is a systemic disease that can lead to structural and functional damage to organs and tissues such as the kidney, heart and liver with non-specific symptoms. Most of the affected patients develop thyroid infiltration and thus diffuse enlargement of the thyroid gland, while cases leading to hypothyroidism are exceedingly rare. Some researchers have analyzed thyroid function in newly diagnosed patients with AL amyloidosis, and found that the incidence of overt hypothyroidism is only 7%.

Introduction: CarboxypeptidaseE (CPE) is an enzyme involved in the neuropepetides/hormones processing. Its deficiency is associated with endocrinopathies comparable to those caused by proprotein convertase1/3(PC1/3) deficiency. In this case report we expand the clinical features of CPE deficiency by examining the index case's clinical/laboratory results, which are also indicative of PC1/3 deficiency.
