Emblica officinalis (Amla) accelerated cell proliferation and dedifferentiation of pigmented epithelial cells of dorsal iris and consequently induced lens regeneration in R. cyanophlyctis. Further it enhanced the percentage of lens regeneration not only in young tadpoles but also is adult frogs. Lens regeneration ability declined with the age of animals in both control as well as treated groups.

Purpose: To report the long-term surgical outcomes of acquired ankyloblepharon correction using mucous membrane graft.
Methods: Five eyes of 4 patients (median age, 19 years) with acquired ankyloblepharon were managed using eyelid splitting and mucous membrane graft anchored to the recti muscles on the bulbar surface in the respective quadrant and onto the bare tarsal surface. Outcome measures include a change in the palpebral fissure width, ability to fit scleral contact lenses, visual acuity, and cosmesis.

Ectopia lentis (EL), characterised by impaired zonular fibers originating from non-pigmented ciliary epithelial cells (NPCEC), presents formidable surgical complexities and potential risks of visual impairment. Cataract surgery is the only treatment method for EL, but it leads to the loss of accommodative power of the lens post-operatively. Furthermore, the challenge of repairing zonular ligaments remains a significant global issue.

Poultry molting is a natural phenomenon, and process that improves the physiological function of laying hens. In this study, artificial intervention was used to induced molting (IM) in aged hens and improve their egg- laying performance. Jejunal lipophagy and lipid metabolism data were analyzed to elucidate the regulatory mechanisms by which the intestine affects egg production performance, particularly through the lens of digestion and absorption processes.

A 23-year-old woman was referred for low visual acuity in the left eye after a corneal ulcer associated with contact lens use 2 years previously. The patient had a history of contact lens use, reported use of antibiotic eye drops with improvement of infection, and subsequent scarring. There were no comorbidities.
