Background: Vascularized bone grafts (VBGs) are currently the main surgical option for the restoration of humeral bone defects particularly when defects are larger than 6 cm. Because it offers a strong, rapid blood supply, VBGs easily integrate into the recipient sites and undergo active resorption and remodeling into healthy bone through primary bone healing. Additionally, they support the recipient site's immune system in preventing and reducing infection.

Background: The thin anterolateral thigh flap (tALTF) is gaining attention in reconstructive surgery due to its aesthetic and functional advantages. However, its clinical safety and outcomes compared to other commonly used free soft flaps (CUFSFs) remain unclear.
Methods: Studies were systematically searched from PubMed, EMBASE, Medline, Cochrane, Web of Science, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure Database up to November 2, 2024.

Introduction: The aim of our prospective blinded clinical study was to examine a possible improvement and acceleration of epithelialization by treatment with low-energy extracorporeal shock waves on skin graft donor and recipient sites in patients with chronic wounds. In addition, several secondary parameters were investigated to evaluate the compatibility of the therapeutic method, its influence on infection occurrence and bacterial colonization.
Materials And Methods: A total of 35 patients were included in the study.

In cases with a highly positioned mucogingival junction, an apically positioned flap in combination with palatal-mucosa grafting is commonly performed to deepen the sulcus. However, we believe that immobilizing the mucosa is more important than merely deepening it; thus, we developed a simple method based on the characteristics of its components. Elastic fiber should be replaced by collagen fiber.

Aims Of The Study: This prospective cohort study investigates postoperative fluid accumulation in free flaps using hyperspectral imaging, analyzed through linear mixed models. Effects of edema on flap viability and microcirculatory changes during the critical postoperative phase should be detected.
Materials And Methods: Patients who underwent free tissue transfer were monitored for six postoperative days (POD) using hyperspectral imaging to quantify tissue water index (TWI) for viable and failing flaps and the recipient site.
