Epidermal inclusion cysts are benign epithelial tumours that can occur in any part of the body. It can be primary or secondary to trauma or surgery that leads to the implantation of the epidermal elements into dermis and subcutaneous tissue forming a benign cyst. There is paucity of literature reporting postauricular epidermal inclusion cysts following a cochlear implant surgery with the functioning implant in situ.

Ovarian dermoid cysts are usually asymptomatic and detected incidentally. However, they can have variable presentation especially when they are associated with complications. Spontaneous rupture of ovarian dermoid cyst is a rarely encountered complication as dermoid cyst usually have a thick capsule.

Background: Common calvarial lesions include fibrous dysplasia (FD), intraosseous meningioma, osteoma, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), intraosseous hemangioma, dermoid and epidermoid cyst, and malignancy. Surgical removal with removal of the involved skull is the choice of treatment for these lesions. Previously, the skull defect was repaired using allograft, and alloplastic materials have been replaced with newer polyetheretherketone (PEEK) material, which is more resistant, biocompatible, and can be 3-dimension (3D)--printed.
