We have developed a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography-pulsed amperometric detection (RP-HPLC-PAD) method for the detection of albiflorin and paeoniflorin in Paeoniae Radix and Wu-ji-san. Albiflorin and paeoniflorin were completely separated using 10% acetonitrile in 5mM sodium phosphate buffer (pH 3.0) as an eluent and detected by PAD under alkaline conditions after using a post-column delivery system. The limit of detection (S/N=3) and the limit of quantification (S/N=10) were 0.10 and 0.35 ng for albiflorin, and 0.20 and 0.50 ng for paeoniflorin, respectively. The coefficients of linear regression were 0.9995 and 0.9999 for concentrations between 0.035 and 100 microg/mL. The intra- and inter-day precision (RSDs) was less than 3.56% in Paeoniae Radix and Wu-ji-san. The average recoveries from Paeoniae Radix and Wu-ji-san were 99.01-100.94% and 99.46-100.64%. This method shows higher selectivity than HPLC-UV method for analyzing albiflorin and paeoniflorin in Chinese medicinal preparation.

Bone marrow hematopoietic injury encompasses a range of pathological conditions that disrupt the normal function of the hematopoietic system, primarily through the impaired production and differentiation of bone marrow hematopoietic cells. Key pathogenic mechanisms include aging, radiation damage, chemical induction, infection and inflammation, and cross-talk with non-hematopoietic diseases. These pathological factors often lead to myelosuppression and myeloid skewing.

Shaoyao Gancao Decoction(SGD) is a classic formula used in the clinical treatment of joint diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis(RA), though its mechanism of action remains unclear. This study aimed to explore the mechanism of SGD in treating RA through chemical and network pharmacology analyses, combined with cellular experiments. UPLC-Orbitrap-MS~2 was used to qualitatively analyze SGD and drug-containing serum of rats after oral administration of SGD, thereby identifying the chemical composition and plasma components of SGD.

The effects of selenite (0, 15, 30, 45 mg L) on physiological characteristics and medicinal components of were analyzed. The results showed that selenite application promoted the activity of superoxide dismutase and the contents of soluble sugar, proline, carotenoids, total flavonoids, and total polyphenols, and decreased the contents of reactive oxygen species, relative electrical conductivity, and malondialdehyde. In addition, selenite also increased chlorophyll content, improved electron transfer ability, PSI and PSII performance, and the coordination between PSI and PSII, which significantly improved photosynthetic capacity.

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Shaoyao Gancao Decoction (SGD) on ulcerative colitis (UC) mice based on the perspective of intestinal barrier, and this study provides a new consultation for the clinical application of SGD.
Methods: The chemical composition of SGD was characterized by HPLC. The UC mouse model was constructed by 3 % dextran sodium sulfate (DSS), which were randomly divided into the model group (DSS), the positive drug group (5-ASA), the Shaoyao group (SYD), Gancao group (GCD), and the Shaoyao Gancao Decoction group (SGD) at low, medium, and high dosages, respectively.
