Gluteal reshaping.

Aesthet Surg J

Private Practice in Miami, FL, USA.

Published: December 2009

The author performs gluteal contouring by removing fat from areas of excess and injecting into areas that will benefit aesthetically. Assuming the patient has adequate fat for harvest, the author contends that fat grafting yields more precise augmentation, quicker recovery, and tremendous patient satisfaction compared with gluteal implants. He believes that about 80% to 85% of injected fat survives at 2 years and, even if fat is lost, there remains a lifelong change in gluteal shape.

It is one of the strategies to study the complexity of spontaneous fluctuation of brain neurons based on resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI), but the multifractal characteristics of spontaneous fluctuation of brain neurons in psychiatric diseases need to be studied. Therefore, this paper will study the multifractal spontaneous brain activity changes in psychiatric disorders using the multifractal detrended fluctuation analysis algorithm based on the UCLA datasets. Specifically: (1) multifractal characteristics in adult attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder (BP), and schizophrenia (SCHZ); (2) the source of those multifractal characteristics.

Background: Presently, the mitigation and governance of obesity have surfaced as significant public health dilemmas on a global scale. A wealth of studies indicated that the host gut microbiota is instrumental in regulating the interplay between high-fat diet (HFD) intake and the pathogenesis of obesity. Physiological premature fruit drop, a major byproduct of citrus, is rich in a variety of bioactive constituents, yet its potential has remained underutilized for an extended period.

Objective: To examine the proportion of products offered by leading food brands in Canada that are 'unhealthy' according to Health Canada's (HC) nutrient profile model for proposed restrictions on food marketing to children (M2K-NPM).

Design: Nutritional information for products offered by top brands was sourced from the University of Toronto FLIP and Menu-FLIP 2020 databases, respectively. HC's M2K-NPM, which includes thresholds for sodium, total sugars and saturated fat, was applied to products.
