Clinic of Cardiovascular Diseases named after Most Holy John Tobolsky, Moscow, Moscow, Russia.
Background: Most cerebrovascular lesions are aggravated by dementia. This study examines the possibility of reducing dementia by stimulating cerebral angiogenesis and neurogenesis using Transcatheter Intracerebral Laser Photobiomodulation Therapy (PBMT) in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), distal cerebral atherosclerosis, Binswanger's disease (BD), and vascular parkinsonism (VP).
Methods: The study included 404 patients with dementia, aged 29-81 (mean age 78).

Background: Treatment with monoclonal antibodies against amyloid-β slowed cognitive decline in recent randomized clinical trials in patients with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, trial eligibility criteria may affect generalizability to clinical practice.
Methods: We extracted eligibility criteria for trials of aducanumab, lecanemab and donanemab from published reports, and applied these to participants with MCI and early clinical AD dementia from the population-based Rotterdam Study.

Objective: Coronary artery disease (CAD) remains a significant global health burden, characterized by the narrowing or blockage of coronary arteries. Treatment decisions are often guided by angiography-based scoring systems, such as the Synergy Between Percutaneous Coronary Intervention with Taxus and Cardiac Surgery (SYNTAX) and Gensini scores, although these require invasive procedures. This study explores the potential of electrocardiography (ECG) as a noninvasive diagnostic tool for predicting CAD severity, alongside traditional risk factors.

Intracardiac migration of inferior vena cava (IVC) filter or stent is a rare but potentially fatal complication of endovascular venous device placement. There is no consensus whether migrated stents should be surgically removed by open cardiac surgery or retrieved by the percutaneous endovascular route and whether an intervention should be performed immediately or expectantly. Herein, we report a 39-year-old female who received emergent left lobe living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) owing to posthepatectomy liver failure.

The anatomical characteristics of middle cerebral artery aneurysms make endovascular treatment difficult. This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of endovascular treatment of unruptured middle cerebral artery aneurysm in preventing rupture. A retrospective review of patients who underwent coil embolization for unruptured middle cerebral artery aneurysm between 2006 and 2022 at Nagoya University Hospital with at least 12 months followed up was conducted.
