Background: Cerebral Microbleeds (CMBs) serve as critical indicators of cerebral small vessel disease and are strongly associated with severe neurological disorders, including cognitive impairments, stroke, and dementia. Despite the importance of diagnosing and preventing CMBs, there is a significant lack of effective predictive tools in clinical settings, hindering comprehensive assessment and timely intervention.
Objective: This study aims to develop a robust predictive model for CMBs by integrating a broad range of clinical and laboratory parameters, enhancing early diagnosis and risk stratification.

Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) stresses the vascular contributions to cognitive decline, ranging from mild to major forms. Except for symptomatic treatment for relevant vascular diseases, the other recommended strategy is to intervene in key vascular risk factors (VRFs) as early as possible. A considerable amount of previous research delineated the association of a specific factor with dementia, involving each risk factor discussed in the present review.

Background: Herpes zoster is a potential risk factor for dementia. The effectiveness of the recombinant zoster vaccine for preventing dementia is uncertain.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study used de-identified claims data from the Optum Labs Data Warehouse database from January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2022, to determine whether the recombinant zoster vaccine is associated with a reduced risk of dementia.

Previous research suggests that emotional prosody perception is impaired in neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's disease (AD) and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). However, no previous research has investigated emotional prosody perception in these diseases under non-ideal listening conditions. We recruited 18 patients with AD, and 31 with PPA (nine logopenic (lvPPA); 11 nonfluent/agrammatic (nfvPPA) and 11 semantic (svPPA)), together with 24 healthy age-matched individuals.
