The nipple-areolar complex may be affected by many normal variations in embryologic development and breast maturation as well as by abnormal processes of a benign or malignant nature. Benign processes that may affect the nipple-areolar complex include eczema, duct ectasia, periductal mastitis, adenomas, papillomas, leiomyomas, and abscesses; malignant processes include Paget disease, lymphoma, and invasive and noninvasive breast cancers. Radiologists should be aware of the best methods for evaluating each of these entities: Many disorders of the nipple-areolar complex are unique or differ in important ways from those that occur elsewhere in the breast, and they require a diagnostically specific imaging evaluation. Patients may present with benign developmental variations; inversion, retraction, or enlargement of the nipple, which may have either a benign or a malignant cause; a palpable mass; nipple discharge; skin changes in and around the nipple; infection with resultant nipple changes or a subareolar mass; or abnormal findings at routine mammographic screening. Further diagnostic imaging may include repeat mammography, breast ultrasonography, galactography, and magnetic resonance imaging. When skin changes are present, a clinical evaluation by the patient's primary care physician, dermatologist, or surgeon should be part of the diagnostic work-up.

Reconstructed breast with silicone breast implants (SBIs) after nipple-sparing mastectomy (NSM) provides high patient satisfaction from a cosmetic point of view, but low patient satisfaction with respect to hypoesthesia of the reconstructed breast, and reinnervation is required. Currently, few reports are available on reinnervation in breast reconstruction with implants, and detailed data on desensitization of reconstructed breasts are lacking. Therefore, we examined perceptual data after NSM with respect to reinnervation.

Introduction: The following presentation explores the diagnostic potential of Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM) in evaluating and managing Paget's Disease (PD) of the breast, particularly as an alternative or complementary tool to Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in cases where MRI is contraindicated or inconclusive.
Clinical Cases: Two clinical cases of PD diagnosed at our Breast Imaging Division between January and May 2024 were analyzed using CEM. These cases involved imaging techniques, including Digital Mammography (DM), Breast Ultrasound (US), MRI and CEM, alongside histopathological confirmation through nipple-areolar complex (NAC) punch biopsies.

Percutaneous biopsy is the standard of care for breast lesions, except nipple lesions which are primarily biopsied by excision due to perceived risks of pain and bleeding. However, excisional biopsy of nipple lesion inevitably leads to disfigurement and possible loss of the nipple-areolar complex (NAC), highlighting the need for minimally invasive biopsy techniques. We present our experience of seven patients who underwent ultrasound-guided core biopsy or vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB) for sampling of clinically occult nipple lesions.
