Objectives: To determine differences in screening for routine physical exam and cancers among Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Cambodian Americans.
Methods: The sample consisted of 2011 participants. Chi square was used to identify relationships between demographic/acculturation factors and screenings.
Results: Never-screened rates were high for all Asian subgroups. Never-screened rates for mammography ranged from 20.1% to 78.5% for Pap test, 28% to 75.6% for prostate cancer, 56.7% to 97% for colorectal cancer, 65.3% to 94.9%. Koreans had the highest never screened for health checkups (34.7%).
Conclusions: Efforts should be made to comply with screening guidelines among Asian Americans.

Objectives: This report describes changes in total, early, and late fetal mortality between 2022 and 2023 (provisional), as well as fetal mortality by maternal race and Hispanic origin and state of residence. Comparisons are made with findings from 2021 to 2022.
Methods: Data are based on reports of fetal death filed in the 50 states and the District of Columbia and collected via the National Vital Statistics System.
In this study, we have designed and developed a cationic bolaform C12-(2,3-dihydroxy-N, N-dimethyl-N-(2-ureidoethyl)propan-1-aminium chloride)2 (C12(DDUPAC)2) that is derived from biocompatible molecules. The bolaform C12(DDUPAC)2 has hydroxyl (OH) functionality at both the cationic head groups. The impact of head group structure on the self-assembly and effectiveness of gene transfection and antimicrobial activity was investigated and compared with that of the hydrochloride salt C12-(N, N-dimethyl-N-(2-ureidoethan-1-aminium chloride)2 (C12(DUAC)2) of its precursor molecule.

Objective: Asthma poses a significant health burden in South Asia, with increasing incidence and mortality despite a global decline in age-standardized prevalence rates. This study aims to analyze asthma trends from 1990 to 2021, focusing on prevalence, incidence, mortality, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) across South Asia. The study also assesses the impact of risk factors like high body mass index (BMI), smoking, and occupational exposures on asthma outcomes.
