The practical application of polymer electrolytes is seriously hindered by the inferior Li ionic conductivity, low Li transference number (t), and poor interfacial stability. Herein, a structurally novel metallopolymer is designed and synthesized by exploiting a molybdenum (Mo) paddle-wheel complex as a tetratopic linker to bridge organic and inorganic moieties at molecular level. The prepared metallopolymer possesses combined merits of outstanding mechanical and thermal stability, as well as a low glass transition temperature (T <-50 °C).

The storage of renewable energy through the conversion of CO to CO provides a viable solution for the intermittent nature of these energy sources. The immobilization of rhenium(I) tricarbonyl molecular complexes is presented through the reductive coupling of bis(diazonium) aryl substituents. The heterogenized complex was characterized through ultra-visible, attenuated total reflectance, infrared reflection absorption spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to probe the electronic structure of the immobilized complex.

Porous organic cobaltocenium-containing particles are scarce in literature but highly interesting for their electrochemical properties and reusability in, for example, catalysis or magnetic systems. In this work, we present a scalable one-pot strategy to introduce tailorable amounts of cobaltocenium on a porous substrate, adjusting the electrochemical switching capability. For this purpose, 3-(triethoxysilyl)propan-1-amine (APTES) and ethynyl cobaltocenium hexafluorophosphate is used as functionalization agents for in-situ catalyst-free hydroamination, followed by silane condensation at the particles' surface.

The redox-active properties of a series of ferrocene-containing vinyl polymers were investigated in aqueous and organic media. Each metallopolymer contained vinylferrocene (VFc) and a non-redox-active species (X), and was combined with carbon nanotubes (CNT) to generate P(VFc--X)-CNT composites for heterogeneous electrochemical analysis. Tunable pseudocapacitances spanning ca.

Terpyridine (TPY) platinum(II) chloride with a triphenylamine (TPA) group was successfully synthesized. The strong intramolecular Donor(TPA)-Acceptor(TPY) interaction induced the low-energy absorption band, mixing the spin-allowed singlet dπ(Pt)→π*(TPY) metal-to-ligand charge transfer (MLCT) with the chloride ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) and chloride ligand-to-ligand (TPY) charge transfer (LLCT) transitions, to bathochromically shift to = 449 nm with significant enhancement and broadening effects. Using the cyclic voltammetry method, its oxidative electropolymerization (EP) films on working Pt disk and ITO electrodes were produced with tunable thickness and diffusion controlled redox behavior, which were characterized by the SEM, EDS, FT-IR, and AC impedance methods.
