Mycobacterium xenopi is an unusual pathogen and few such cases have been reported in the literature. We report the case of a patient with a sirolimus-based immunosuppressive regimen, who developed lung cavitation. M. xenopi was isolated from the sputum. The patient was treated initially with rifampicin, isoniazid, and pyrazinamide; levofloxacin was added to the treatment regimen after M. xenopi was demonstrated. A possible relationship between sirolimus and M. xenopi infection has been postulated, probably due to the combination of pulmonary toxicity and cellular immunosuppression of rapamycin.

Background: In Tajikistan, where there are about 8,000 cases annually, many new cases are being diagnosed with severe disease, indicating a delay in receiving care. We aimed to estimate the proportion with delayed care and the main factors contributing to delayed care.
Methods: Using a retrospective cohort design, we conducted a study that included all people aged over 15 years who were newly diagnosed with pulmonary TB in Dushanbe from 2019 to 2021.

We hypothesized that persistent lifetime (PLT) images could represent tumor imaging traits, locations, and persistent contrasts of topological components (connected and hole components) corresponding to gene mutations such as epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutant signs. We aimed to develop a topological radiogenomic approach using PLT images to identify EGFR mutation-positive patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The PLT image was newly proposed to visualize the locations and persistent contrasts of the topological components for a sequence of binary images with consecutive thresholding of an original computed tomography (CT) image.

Bronchial artery aneurysms are a rare vascular pathology, however bronchial artery pseudoaneurysms are even less commonly observed with minimal cases available in the literature. They are often associated with conditions such as lung infections or malignancies and are typically managed with endovascular embolization. However, complex vascular anatomy may render endovascular approaches unsuitable.
