The attainment of white emission from a light-emitting electrochemical cell (LEC) is important, since it enables illumination and facile color conversion from devices that can be cost-efficient and sustainable. However, a drawback with current white LECs is that they either employ non-sustainable metals as an emitter constituent or are intrinsically efficiency limited by that the emitter only converts singlet excitons to photons. Organic compounds that emit by thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) can address these issues since they can harvest all excitons for light emission while being metal free.

This work reports on the preparation process of a double-layer perovskite active layer. The first active layer film, CsKPEAPbIBr, was fabricated using a spin-coating method, while the second active layer, MAPbBr, was deposited using MAPbBr single crystals as the evaporation source. Additionally, doping the PEDOT: PSS hole transport layer with ETA and EDA can enhance the uniformity of the perovskite film and reduce voids, improving charge transport efficiency.

The regulation of the valleytronic properties of two-dimensional materials can contribute to the in-depth study of valley physics and improve its potential for applications in valleytronic devices. Herein, we systematically investigate the electronic properties and the modulation of the valleytronic properties in single-layer NbSeCl. Our results reveal that NbSeCl is a semiconductor with a 105.

Highly efficient single-layer organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) are demonstrated by using a pure Mg cathode that is seeded with a small amount of Ag nucleation sites. Bis(4-phenylthieno[3,2-]pyridinato-,C2')(acetylacetonate)iridium(III) (PO-01)-doped devices with three-, two-, and one-region doping configurations exhibit maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) values of 22.8%, 21.

Oxygen vacancies in Ruddlesden-Popper (RP) perovskites (PV) [AO][ABO] play a pivotal role in engineering functional properties and thus understanding the relationship between oxygen-vacancy distribution and physical properties can open up new strategies for fine manipulation of structure-driven functionalities. However, the structural origin of preferential distribution for oxygen vacancies in RP structures is not well understood, notably in the single-layer ( = 1) RP-structure. Herein, the = 1 RP phase SrNdZnO was rationally designed and structurally characterized by combining three-dimensional (3D) electron diffraction and neutron powder diffraction.
