The progress in the research of pharmacological mechanism of anti-fibrosis traditional Chinese drugs and the effective components is summarized. It's demonstrated by pharmacological experiments that anti-fibrosis traditional Chinese drugs can inhibit the cell proliferation, regulate the cytokines and ECM, and intervente in the signal transduction.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a global health concern, and recent clinical evidence suggests the potential of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) to slow CKD progression. This offers alternative strategies for CKD patients, mitigating risks related to polypharmacy and adverse drug reactions. Our self-controlled, prospective study aims to assess the impact of Eefooton (EFT), a TCM-based regimen, on kidney health in stage 3-5 CKD patients.

Background: Liver fibrosis is a complex reparative process in response to chronic liver injuries, with limited effective therapeutic options available in clinical practice. During liver fibrosis, liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs) undergo phenotypic changes and also play a role in modulating cellular communications. Si-Wu-Tang (SWT), a traditional Chinese herbal remedy, has been extensively studied for its effectiveness in treating hematological, gynecological and hepatic diseases.

Introduction: With the increasing prevalence of hypertension, the incidence of kidney diseases is also increasing, resulting in a serious public burden. Jiangya Tongluo decoction (JYTL), a recognized prescription in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), is commonly used to calm an overactive liver and reduce excess yang, while also promoting blood flow to alleviate obstructions in the meridians. Previous research has indicated that JYTL may help mitigate kidney damage caused by hypertension; however, the underlying mechanisms have not been thoroughly assessed.

Background: Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, a traditional Chinese herb, is known for its various biological effects, including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidative, and antitumor properties. However, the function and mechanisms of methanol extract of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (MESB) in treating hepatic fibrosis remain unclear.
Methods: This study utilized a CCl4-induced mouse model of hepatic fibrosis to assess the effects of MESB through histopathological analysis and serum tests.

Background And Aims: Studies have shown that improving the intestinal flora can alleviate the progression of liver fibrosis. Cordycepin has shown potential anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrosis effects. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of cordycepin on liver fibrosis and how it affects the intestinal flora composition to determine a potentially effective therapeutic approach for liver fibrosis.
