This systematic review aims to: 1) provide an overview of substance use treatments for mothers of young children (from birth to 5 years old); 2) synthesize findings on maternal substance use and child/maternal mental health outcomes; and 3) identify key treatment components. In 2002, in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy, a comprehensive strategic plan was developed with the aim of improving the integration and efficiency of the genetic services. Two decades later, this report aims to explore the current functioning of the regional network, with special focus on clinical genetics in the evolving scenarios. To this aim, we analyzed the activity data of the medical genetics services in the region, to identify and possibly improve currently open issues.

Objective: This study was undertaken to describe incidence and distribution of seizures, etiologies, and epilepsy syndromes in the general child and youth population, using the current International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) classifications.

Methods: The study platform is the Norwegian Mother, Father, and Child Cohort Study (MoBa). Epilepsy cases were identified through registry linkages facilitated by Norway's universal health care system and mandatory reporting to the Norwegian Patient Registry.

Despite its low incidence, complete postoperative abdominal evisceration represents a complication requiring an urgent solution. We aimed to present a rare case of an abdominal evisceration of the omentum and small-bowel loops after a total abdominal hysterectomy and review the literature regarding this condition's diagnosis and therapeutic management. On the sixth postoperative day for a uterine fibroid, a 68-year-old patient presented with an abdominal evisceration of the omentum and small bowel that occurred two hours before.

Background: Accurate maternal perceptions of children's weight status are crucial for early childhood obesity prevention, with evidence suggesting that maternal misperception may delay timely interventions. This study investigated the accuracy of maternal perceptions of child weight and examined associations with parenting styles and children's eating behaviors and demographic factors among preschool-aged children in Samsun, Türkiye.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included 318 mother-child pairs recruited from preschools in socio-economically diverse areas of Samsun.
