As an advanced nucleic acid therapeutical modality, mRNA can express any type of protein in principle and thus holds great potential to prevent and treat various diseases. Despite the success in COVID-19 mRNA vaccines, direct local delivery of mRNA into the lung by inhalation would greatly reinforce the treatment of pulmonary pathogens and diseases. Herein, we developed lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) from degradable ionizable glycerolipids for potent pulmonary mRNA delivery via nebulization.

Background: NIAGADS is a national data repository that offers qualified investigators access to genomic data for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and related dementia. In addition, NIAGADS has made substantial effort to curate, harmonize, standardize, and disseminate AD-relevant variant, gene, and sequence annotations from publications, functional genomics datasets, and summary statistics deposited at NIAGADS. These results are made available to the public in a collection of interactive knowledgebases (AD Variant Portal, FILER Functional Genomics Repository, VariXam, Alzheimer's GenomicsDB & Genome Browser), all of which are accessible programmatically via the NIAGADS API.

Hydrogels are promising materials for wearable electronics, artificial skins and biomedical engineering, but their limited stretchability, self-recovery and crack resistance restrict their performance in demanding applications. Despite efforts to enhance these properties using micelle cross-links, nanofillers and dynamic interactions, it remains a challenge to fabricate hydrogels that combine high stretchability, self-healing and strong adhesion. Herein, we report a novel hydrogel synthesized the copolymerization of acrylamide (AM), maleic acid (MA) and acrylonitrile (AN), designed to address these limitations.

There are limited economic evaluations of patient navigation in the US health care system and few have considered costs at various phases along the implementation spectrum. Having economic data, including costs and cost savings, can support sustainability of patient navigation programs.
