Background: There is ongoing discussion around the optimal course of treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) following the second line. Trifluridine/tipiracil (T) and regorafenib (R) have been the mainstay of therapy in this situation, as they both increased overall survival (OS) in comparison to a placebo. Despite the paucity of evidence, therapy rechallenge is also recognized as an option for practical use.

Methods: This was a retrospective, multicenter, observational study conducted using the database registry of patients with moderate-to-severe COVID-19 at 66 hospitals in Japan. The data of 146 mechanically ventilated COVID-19 patients were analyzed.

We present a novel molecular property prediction framework that requires only the SMILES format as input but is designed to be multimodal by incorporating predicted 3D conformer representations. Our model captures comprehensive molecular features by leveraging both the sequential character structure of SMILES and the three-dimensional spatial structure of conformers. The framework employs contrastive learning techniques, utilizing InfoNCE loss to align SMILES and conformer embeddings, along with task-specific loss functions, such as ConR for regression and SupCon for classification.

Background: Increasing HIV testing and treatment coverage among people living with HIV (PLHIV) is essential for achieving global HIV epidemic control. However, compared to women, cis-gender heterosexual men living with HIV are significantly less likely to know their HIV status, initiate anti-retroviral therapy (ART) and achieve viral suppression. This is particularly true in South Africa, where men are also at increased risk of mortality resulting from AIDS-related illnesses.

Background: Omicron sub-variants breakthrough infections (BTIs) have led to millions of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases worldwide. The acute-phase immune status is critical for prognosis, however, the dynamic immune profiling of COVID-19 during the first month after BTIs remains unclear.
Methods: In this study, we monitored the immune dynamics at various timepoints in a longitudinal cohort during the first month post-BTIs through clinical evaluation, single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq), T cell receptor (TCR)/B cell receptor (BCR) sequencing, and antibody mass spectrometry.
