Vitiligo is characterized by a localized and progressive loss of melanocytes which are pigment cells responsible for the pigmentation of human. The etiopathogenetic mechanisms leading to melanocytes loss in vitiligo lesions are not yet fully understood and no effective treatment or cure exists. Notch signaling has been shown to control many cellular functions of melanocytes. Activation of Notch signaling occurs during the formation of melanocytic tumors and inactivation of Notch signaling causes a dramatic elimination of melanocytes precursors. So we postulate that inactivation of Notch signaling in the melanocytes may be a potential pathomechanism of vitiligo. If the hypothesis was proved to be practical, we could provide new understanding of the etiology of vitiligo and produce new therapeutic avenues.

The use of Streptomyces secondary metabolites for mosquito control has recently received positive attention. Accordingly, this study was performed to elucidate the cellular, genomic and biochemical responses of Aedes mosquitoes to Streptomyces sp. KSF103 ethyl acetate (EA) extract, a mixture previously characterized for its potential bioactivity.

Background: Disruption of cyclin D-dependent kinases (CDKs), particularly CDK4/6, drives cancer cell proliferation via abnormal protein phosphorylation. This open-label, single-arm, phase Ib/II trial evaluated the efficacy of the CDK4/6 inhibitor, abemaciclib, combined with paclitaxel against CDK4/6-activated tumors.
Patients And Methods: Patients with locally advanced or metastatic solid tumors with CDK4/6 pathway aberrations were included.

Skeletal muscle regeneration in adults is predominantly driven by satellite cells. Loss of satellite cell pool and function leads to skeletal muscle wasting in many conditions and disease states. Here, we demonstrate that the levels of fibroblast growth factor-inducible 14 (Fn14) were increased in satellite cells after muscle injury.

Background: Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) is the most common type of leukemia among children. There are several types of drugs that are common in treating and controlling leukemia, including 6-M. Moreover, the anti-cancer effects of the Thiosemicarbazone-Ni complex were surveyed as well as 6-MP.

Introduction: Recent epidemiological data suggests a rising incidence of breast angiosarcoma (AS-B) in the Western population, with over two-thirds related to irradiation or chronic lymphedema. However, unlike head and neck angiosarcoma (AS-HN), AS-B disease characteristics in Asia remain unclear.
Methods: We examined clinical patterns of angiosarcoma patients (n = 176) seen in an Asiantertiary cancer center from 1999 to 2021, and specifically investigated the molecular and immune features of AS-B in comparison to AS-HN.
