Cefoperazone is a parenteral third generation cephalosporin which is active against many Gram positive and Gram negative organisms. Cefaperazone, like other cephalosporins which contain methyltiotetrazole side chain, can cause hypoprotrombinaemia and bleeding problems. Here we report a nine-year old child with Meckel's diverticulum who had cefoperazone induced massive gastrointestinal bleeding on the fifth day following the operation.

Objective: is usually found in urogenital tract infections and is associated with several extra-genitourinary infections, including septic arthritis, bacteremia, and meningitis. Here, we report a rare case of induced bloodstream infection with thoracic inflammation in a surgical patient.
Methods: A 56-year-old male who underwent surgery for multiple pelvic and rib fractures developed fever, pleural effusion, and wound exudation despite receiving prophylactic anti-infection treatment with cefotiam.

Unlabelled: Metabolic state-reprogramming approach was extended from Gram-negative bacteria to Gram-positive bacterium methicillin-resistant (MRSA) for identifying desired reprogramming metabolites to synergize existing antibiotic killing to MRSA. Metabolomics comparison between MRSA and methicillin-sensitive showed a depressed metabolic state in MRSA. Valine was identified as the most depressed metabolite/biomarker, and valine, leucine and isoleucine biosynthesis as the most enriched metabolic pathway.

Bacterial pneumonia has garnered significant attention in the realm of infectious diseases owing to a surge in the incidence of severe infections coupled with the growing scarcity of efficacious therapeutic modalities. Antibiotic treatment is still an irreplaceable method for bacterial pneumonia because of its strong bactericidal activity and good clinical efficacy. However, the mucus layer forming after a bacterial infection in the lungs has been considered as the "Achilles' heels" facing the clinical application of such treatment.

The presence of antibiotic residues in the aquatic environments poses great potential risks to the aquatic organisms, and even human health. Elucidating the interaction mechanisms between antibiotics and biomacromolecules is crucial for accurately assessing and preventing their potential risks. Therefore, the toxicity of three beta-lactam antibiotics on Escherichia coli (E.
